What’s the Daily Mail saying about the election?

Today we’re going to look at the Daily Mail journalists. On the face of it, they’re sticking to the same overall mention profile as the rest of the media (see the final image). 

But the individual journalists have some interesting profiles. 

John Stevens, political reporter, (@johnestevens) is a proflic UKIP Tweeter. 

That made me think, well, is he the most prolific UKIP Tweeter? Turns out that he is the second most prolific tweeter. Only Rowena Mason of the Guardian has tweeted more about UKIP

The obvious next question is about the sentiment or content of their tweets. That is much harder to analyse and I will deal with that in a separate post.

Overall, the Daily Mail’s profile is standard – lots of tweets about Labour and Conservatives. I haven’t included the corporate accounts as we are not tracking them.
